Created for interiors where form transcends mere aesthetics, Scoop explores the interplay of balance, rhythm, and line. Inspired by 1960s–70s Italian modernism, Swiss designer David Girelli has imagined a lighting collection where glass spheres appear to float mid-air — supported by finely wrought metal structures that are both architectural and poetic.
The Scoop series includes chandeliers in various sizes, wall sconces, table lamps and floor lights — each available in dark bronze or dark brass finishes. Every design combines steel and glass, with marble accents in the floor and table models. The forms are modular, yet never literal — allowing the light to feel fluid and dynamic without losing structural clarity.
The spheres rest on slender metal branches, creating an illusion of weightlessness. At the same time, each piece feels technically refined — seamlessly integrated into contemporary interiors.
Scoop lights combine fluid geometry with exacting balance — ideal as a focal point in rooms with high ceilings, or as a subtle tool for zoning in more intimate interiors.
The silhouettes nod to mid-century lighting design, yet are reimagined for the present with Dantone Home’s signature clarity — refined, intelligent, and thoughtfully composed.
«Playing with geometry, asymmetry and simple lines is my tribute to Italian mid-century design. I wanted the viewer to feel that the spherical shades of Scoop are suspended in mid-air — as if held by invisible laws of balance»
Scoop is not only about grand lighting statements — it also offers refined solutions for more intimate and functional spaces. From table lamps and floor lights to sconces and compact chandeliers, the collection supports personalised lighting schemes: from a single accent to a layered composition.
Thanks to a modular design, pieces can be mixed and matched, varying height, spacing and rhythm to create a cohesive whole. Scoop adapts seamlessly to its setting — whether it’s a private bedroom, a home office, or a spacious public hall in need of coordinated illumination.
Despite their statement-making form, the Scoop lamps are remarkably adaptable. Use them as a pair of bedside lights, flank a console with two table lamps, or choose the floor version to illuminate a quiet reading corner. Their timeless form and soft tones ensure they blend seamlessly with both modern and classic interiors.
