Two new Uno tables join the collection at Dantone Home: a three-metre oval in Bianco Carrara from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany, and the same in Dark Emperador from Spain. The construction is the same as the smaller version – hand-cut from a single slab in Italian workshops, matt-sealed, reinforced underneath with a hidden steel plate. What's new is the size: 300 cm long, 110 cm deep, 75 cm high, with the same soft oval profile as the original.
Around the oval, 10 place settings fit with room to host; 12 at a closer spread, for longer evenings. The shape keeps the soft outline: no head of the table, no sharp corners. So conversation moves through the whole length without breaking.
At this scale, weight is the first question to ask. A solid-marble top of three metres puts a load on the floor that few apartment slabs are built to hold, the kind of mass that needs villa foundations or reinforced ground floors. Uno at 300 cm ships only to villas and houses where the structure can carry it. The same homes, often enough, already have the room to host the table in the first place.
Both tables are at the Umm Suqeim showroom now, two of each. Our designers can help with the marble choice, the chairs to pair with it, the setting itself, and anything else the room needs.
